Main Duties:
Teaching sport and physical activities to children and young people, both in school curriculum time following the PE National Curriculum and/or set programs of study and also deliver a range of OSHL, (Out Of School Hours Learning) extracurricular activities before school, at lunch times, after school and in school holiday periods. Improving child development and fitness through high delivery standards.

Responsibilities of an Activity Professional:
- To plan and deliver a range of innovative coaching sessions
- To set up and deliver high quality sports/dance teaching to young people
- Develop and inspire young people to live and lead active and healthy lifestyles, improving fitness
- To teach lessons in line with Ofsted criteria and the PE national curriculum
Requirements to be an Activity Professional:
- Own transport as you will be required to travel to a variety of schools
- Self motivated and have a passion for teaching/coaching sport and/or dance
- Previous experience in a school environment would be highly beneficial
- Be able to pass an enhanced DBS check and deemed safe to work with children
Location we are recruiting for:
Locally, we cover the Staffordshire and the West Midlands region and currently work with around 40 schools every week.

- How they can use listening and questioning skills to challenge and gain information.
- Be creative and possess the ability to maximise opportunities presented when dealing with customers.
Qualifications
All applicants must hold the essential qualifications or equivalent below, it is also relevant for applicants to hold or be working towards the desirable qualifications. Training and additional qualifications will be offered dependent on experience and ability to meet the required competencies and skills required.
Essential Qualifications
- Hold a minimum NGB Level 2 coaching certificate
Desirable
- Hold the Level 2 Supporting Learning in Physical Education and School Sport certificate OR
- Hold a Coaching or Sports Degree
- Child Protection certificate
- First Aid certificate
- DBS or CRB certificate
- Coaching Disabled performers
Computer skills:
Delegates must be able to:
- Use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word
- Understand basic databases using programmes such as Excel
- Access internet and email.
Management Ability:
Though internal staff management is not initially part of the job, responsibility and opportunity could grow with the development of the business, for example the prospect of recruiting, managing and developing staff. Some people-management skills, experience and natural ability will be useful.
