Premier Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Wrap-Around Play Worker to join our team. This role involves providing a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for primary school students during wrap-around care sessions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, creating fun activities, and contributing to the overall well-being and development of young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Care:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for primary school students during wrap-around care sessions.
- Supervise children and ensure their well-being, safety, and adherence to established rules and guidelines.
- Activity Planning:
- Plan and organize age-appropriate and engaging activities for children in alignment with Premier Education's standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages social interaction, creativity, and physical activity.
- Assistance with Homework:
- Support students with homework assignments, providing guidance and encouragement when needed.
- Create a conducive environment for academic engagement and learning.
- Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, school staff, and colleagues.
- Provide regular updates on children's activities, achievements, and any concerns to parents and supervisors.
- Behavioral Guidance:
- Implement positive behavior management strategies to ensure a respectful and cooperative atmosphere.
- Address behavioral issues promptly and professionally, seeking guidance from senior staff when necessary.
- Safety and Well-being:
- Monitor and promote health and safety standards during play and recreational activities.
- Respond appropriately to any health or safety concerns, following Premier Education's protocols.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and activities.
- Provide feedback and contribute to reports on children's progress and development.
- Please note timings for this role are Wrap Around Hours (7:30 am- 9 am) and (3 pm- 6 pm).
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with primary school children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Understanding of child development and the ability to engage children in age-appropriate activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant childcare or play work qualifications are advantageous.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: £11.60-£16.00 per hour
