Premier Education are looking for inspiring and enthusiastic candidates with a passion for working with children to join our Milton Keynes After-School club team.
Premier Education work collaboratively with primary schools to deliver exceptional before and after school care that is innovative, inspiring, and safe for all children within our care. Premier Education successfully run full wrap-around provision in first, junior and primary schools in the Milton Keynes area. If you are successful in joining Premier, you may find yourself baking cakes, getting creative with our arts and crafts, building lego models in our construction zones, refereeing football matches or any other activity that will put a smile on the faces of our children. What we can tell you is that no two days are the same and we have as much fun as the children!
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic play workers to support the delivery of our current provision across the following areas:
-Kents Hill Park
-Giffard Park
- Portfield
- Wyvern
-Stony Stratford
The candidate does not need any experience for this role but must have a passion for working with children.
Main duties include:
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
- Prioritise the safeguarding of all children in your care.
- Providing comprehensive care for the children, including greeting them after school and delivering them safely to parents or careers at the end of the day.
- Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
- Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health, and safety standards are met.
- Administering first aid when necessary.
- Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and schools.
- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
- Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.
- Using creativity and imagination to deliver innovative activities for children.

Hours
-After School Club: 3pm-6pm (Monday - Friday) 15 hours
-Optional Breakfast Clubs: 7:30am-8:30/8.45am (Monday - Friday) Up to 6.25 hours

Essential qualities:
- A passion for working with children.
- Ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Outstanding punctuality and attendance.
Desirable qualities:
- Appropriate Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare.
- Experience of working within a play-based setting.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Appropriate child protection training.
- Current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
- Food Hygiene Certificate.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £11.50-£12.30 per hour
