The role will initially be part-time. Hours may increase based upon suitability.
Delivering dance, drama, music & other performing arts activities to children and young people in school curriculum time (following the PE National Curriculum and/or set programmes of study) and also deliver a range of OSHL, (Out Of School Hours Learning) extracurricular activities before school, at lunch times, after school and in school holiday periods.
Applicants must be self-motivated and have a passion for coaching and inspiring young people through engagement and participation in physical activity and sport.
Competency to perform at consistently high standards in a school environment;
*Be able to plan a range of innovative sessions and programmes
*Set up & deliver high quality performing arts sessions to children and young people
*Develop and inspire young people to live and lead active lifestyles.
*Be able to produce accurate assessments and reports on children and young people’s progress
Skills & experience.
*A recognised, suitable, Performing Arts related Certificate (mandatory).
*Enhanced CRB clearance.
*Child Protection Certificate.
*First Aid Certificate.
*Additional educational or vocational qualifications in dance, performing arts, sport or related areas.
*Experience and knowledge of working with children & young people.
*Computer literate.
*Full driving licence.
Environmental:
*Should live within or close to the area.
*Should have access to a computer and mobile phone at all times.
*Should own a motor vehicle.
