Lead Sports Education Coach (Surrey)
Ultimate Coaching Group is a leading professional coaching provider in Surrey.
Our innovative model provides pathways for boys and girls to play recreational and competitive sport. We are currently recruiting additional coaches to support our growth and expansion, and to strengthen our current team of coaches.
We work with Coach Mentors to support the mentoring and upskilling of our team, which includes a Coaching Training Scheme (CTS) for learners aspiring to be coaches. We are seeking dedicated and passionate coaches to join our team and lead our programmes. The successful candidates will play a vital role in training and developing children through sport, fostering team spirit, and promoting sportsmanship.
The candidates will have the opportunity to coach for 14 - 16 hours each week and at weekends. We are seeking open minded and motivated coaches to also help lead competitive football games and work alongside an established team of coaches.
The position is perfect for coaches wishing to accelerate professional journeys in coaching and teaching, learn new skills and gain valuable experience. The role will also provide an opportunity to expand into a full time position if candidates wish to explore further opportunities.
The organisation provides fantastic career prospects which includes pathways into Premiership Academies. We are proud to have supported a number of coaches progress into academy environments including Chelsea FC, Ipswich Town FC, Fulham FC and Sutton United FC, as well as teaching positions.
Primary responsibilities / Duties
- Plan and lead appropriately designed sessions in line with the organisations coaching vision & philosophy.
- Lead football and PE sessions within schools.
- Help cultivate existing school partnerships through sports provision.
- Integrate and develop Football Psychology as an integral component of UFA's syllabus.
- Work with a team of coaches and share good practice.
- Help evaluate children through assessment processes.
- Develop and implement effective sessions to enhance players' skills and performance.
- Motivate and inspire team members to achieve their full potential
Preferred Background/Qualifications/Qualities:
- FA Level 1 or 2 of NGB equivalent
- At least 2 years experience working with children
- Ability to adapt and learn through CPD
- Very good communicator
- Ability to plan short term goals
- Comfortable working with other coaches
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional & co-operative manner
- Ability to take responsibility with plans, logistics and group communications
